We are pleased to invite you to the “Violence and Injury Prevention in Romania: Research Initiatives and Perspectives” International Conference, from 20th – 21st July 2010 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. This conference is sponsored in collaboration of the College of Public Health, University of Iowa and the Center for Health Policy and Public Health, Babes-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca. The invited speakers are national and international experts in the fields of public health and medicine. We want to raise awareness about the current injury prevention concerns and practices in Romania while gaining perspectives from public health and medical professionals.
Not only will this conference allow an opportunity to gain knowledge of the most recent research and projects related to injury prevention and documentation, you will have an opportunity to network with numerous organizations and community leaders working in public health and policy, such as UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund and SMURD (Mobile Emergency Service for Resuscitation and Extrication). The conference will be divided into four main sessions: (1) pediatric injuries; (2) trauma registries; (3) unintentional injuries (e.g. traffic injuries); (4) intentional injuries (suicide; interpersonal violence). We would be honored if you could attend our conference.
